WonderlandHave you ever wished to escape your problems? Have you ever wanted to just slip away from it all? Well, there is this place I like to go called Wonderland. Where you can forget it all.
The trees are made of candy, and the plants made of gum. Fountains filled with chocolate and carts full of dum-dums. Wonderland is quite special with wonder galore. You won’t want to leave, you’ll want to see more. Everything in Wonderland is filled with magic. If you haven’t been there before that is quite tragic. Imagination fills the air. In fact, Wonderland is quite rare. How do you get there you might ask? Well it’s not a hard task. All you have to do is fall through a hole. You won’t have to pay any tolls. Wonderland is full of creativity and fun. Wonderland is for everyone! SummerA warm summer day, 80 degrees. The wind is blowing through the air as I sit beside the pool. I dip my feet in the water to cool off. I jump in feeling the cold water absorb on my skin. I quickly jump out and grab my towel to dry off. My feet burn against the hot concrete. I go over to the concession stand to get a treat. After a few moments of deciding I end up getting an orange Popsicle. I feel the popsicle drip down my face. As I wipe the popsicle off I think, “This is going to be a great summer!”

True Friends
“Why did she do that? How could she betray me like that?” Blake thought to herself. She had made plans with her best friend to have a spa day, but her friend Layla cancelled on her once again to be with her boyfriend. Layla also told Blake that she found a date to the prom, so they wouldn’t need to go together anymore. Blake hated Layla’s boyfriend. Layla only wanted to be his girlfriend because he’s Kaylin’s brother. Kaylin is the most popular girl in the school and if Layla were to become his girlfriend she would be the second most popular girl in the school. Now Layla is very well known in Oak Haven High, and she has long forgotten Blake. “That’s it!” Blake said with anger. This hasn’t been the only thing Layla has done to be popular. When Layla runs into Blake in public, especially if she’s hanging out with Kaylin, she pretends as if she doesn’t who Blake is and laughs like a total jerk.
“Layla may have ‘forgotten’ the past, but I haven’t and I still know her deepest darkest secret,” Blake said with mystery in her voice. Layla’s deepest, darkest secret wasn’t that she had a crush on someone, it was way worse. Layla never imagined what Blake could and would do with it now that they “weren’t friends” anymore. Layla’s deep secret is she would tell some boys to do her homework for her and in exchange she would “pretend” to be there girlfriend. “Layla never had any interest in these boys anyways. Time for my plan,” Blake thought. Blake made an account on Instagram called “Secrets of Layla” every day she would post a secret and another and another. Layla got so mad and the next day she actually spoke to Blake.
“You better hurry to delete that page!” Layla screamed.
“Or what?” Blake said.
“Or I’ll make one about you!” Layla said.
“Go ahead, because I don’t have any secrets like you and Kaylin doesn’t like you anymore.” Kaylin walked past giggling and then she whispered to her friend.
“Ahh!” Layla screamed with anger and walked away. Blake had definitely won. But it didn’t feel as good as she imagined how it would feel in her head. Later Blake had went home and fell asleep on her couch. She dreamed about going to school the next day and not having any friends. Which was true. Layla was her only friend. Now that she had been spending all of her time with her boyfriend and Kaylin, Blake didn’t have any friends. She immediately awoke and felt badly. “I was hurt but that doesn’t mean I should hurt someone else,” Blake immediately called Layla. It went straight to voice mail over and over again. Blake left a message. “I know you hate me now… I really messed up. Please call me back.” But Layla never did. That night both Layla and Blake got no sleep. The next day at school Blake spoke to Layla.
“I know I messed up... I’m dumb and I’m sorry,” Blake said. Layla sat in silence then after a few minutes walked away, Blake still didn’t feel completely better, but she knew she did the right thing. If Layla couldn’t accept that, she wasn’t a true friend.
